My "Folk Art" Valdani Floss Collection

Well helloooooooooo! How is everybun? I'm so excited to share this with you today. You see Friday was a year ago that I was laid off from my construction job. This past year has been one of trying to figure out what in the world I was going to do and literally trying to find myself again. There have been lots of bumps and sadness along the way, but friends, I finally feel like I can start skipping hopping down the yellow brick road!

As many of you know I loooooooove to use Valdani 3 strand floss and that is what I carry in my SHOP.  I have worked with Dana, the owner of Valdani, to put together a collection of floss to be used in my upcoming designs. So without further delay, I would like to introduce you to the

Folk Art for Michelle May Collection!

These yummy, warm, colors in addition to Valdani No. 1 Black solid will be used in all my new designs through the end of the year. To date, I have 6 designs on their way and one that's still hopping around in my head. hee, hee, hee.

Folk art has always been my favorite as it is Fun, Friendly, and just makes me Smile. My designs are simple to create and achievable in short period of time.

This is the first new design, that I gave you a peeky of the other day, it's called Little Houses No. 1. This is the first in a series of three. Ya'll know how much I adore little houses and I was inspired by some Tudor style homes I saw in my town. I do love a pointy gable and swoopy roofline!  :)

This design combines stitchery, fusible applique, machine quilting as well as hand stitching around the hearts. And yes, I got this thing for hearts this year too. hee, hee, hee

There is hand stitching around the hearts with the Valdani floss. I love how it makes the hearts pop off the black background and it was so relaxing to work on. Of course, there has to be a bunny or two in my designs as after all, this is The Raspberry Rabbits. ;)

You can purchase the Folk Art Floss Collection, the Little Houses No. 1 pattern and lots of supplies including Steam A Seam 2 fusible web and the light weight fusible for behind the stitchery all from my SHOP. As always, your support of my small business is greatly appreciated!!

Wishing you a beautiful and magical week! xx,

such a lovely design Shell. I love it. Congratulations on carrying your fave thread in your shop. I always enjoy your designs, you have a great style. I'm sure you'd love my hometown. we have lots of very old houses with those stylish fronts. I especially love the houses built in Art Nouveau style. the house I lived in before my present one was built in 1600 something.

Love the color palette; it makes me think of apples growing on a tree--from the pinkish-white blossoms to the luscious red fruit. The new design is adorable as well, love the sweet little house surrounded by all that love. :)

I just love your new design, shelle!! I live in a little house that we built about four years ago, and your design is perfect for me. I will have to check out your store. I haven't been on here in a while, so I didn't know about Sugie, I'm so sorry for your loss. Did you get the Easter Bunny card I sent to you? When I got it from my designer friend, I just knew who was going to be the recipient! Take care.
